Error w/Killer e2200 Gigabit and Bridged Adapter

I have VB running on two other systems and am able to use the bridged adapter so that my guests are on my network subnet. However, on this one PC, I get the following error when I try to start the guest.

Failed to open a session for the virtual machine Windows XP.

Failed to open/create the internal network 'HostInterfaceNetworking-Killer e2200 Gigabit Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.30)' (VERR_INTNET_FLT_IF_NOT_FOUND).

Result Code: E_FAIL (0x80004005)
Component: ConsoleWrap
Interface: IConsole {872da645-4a9b-1727-bee2-5585105b9eed}

If I change it to NAT, I can get out through my router but can't see any of my other systems on my network.

I'm just looking for suggestions as to what to check as this has me baffled.

This is running on Windows 8.1 with VB 5. (I've had the same error with VB 4x as well).

Thanks.

The bridge driver is either not enabled or not installed.
In the Network center, go into your adapters, right click "Killer e2200 Gigabit Ethernet Controller", select Properties.
Check that you see "VirtualBox Bridge Driver" or similar in the list.

Sorry for my delayed response on this. When I look at the properties for my Killer e2200 Gigabit Ethernet Controller, I see a checked box with the description "VirtualBox NDIS6 Bridged Network Driver". I assume that is what you are referring to.

Hi I was seeing this same issue.

So when right clicking your adapter you should see Killer Bandwidth control. There is a box which is marked in front of it.
Unmark it and press ok.

If you actually use that functionality it might not work anymore. But bridging does !
