Hi all,

I'm experiencing following problem:
after I've update VBox to 5.0.0 and installed extensions, it shows me "No USB Devices Connected" in Devices -> USB

Host: Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard/64 bit
Guest: Windows 7 SP1/32 bit

But it shows no USB for all guests I have in system.

Anyone can help?

Did you also upgrade the extension pack?

Yeap

UPDATE: I'm running VB under normal user, installation of extension pack requires administrator, so for installation I've run VB as admin. But I can see installed extpack also from normal user.

Post the guests log file ( as an attachment )

Here you go:

Here is the actual warning.

Code: Select all

01:26:25.471097 OHCI#0: Lagging too far behind, not trying to catch up anymore. Expect glitches with USB devices
But it means little to me. It may be that the guest/host is under excess load but there are a lot of reasons that can cause this. I would suggest that you first try to reduce the guests RAM to 3GB and see if it helps. Other than that you would need to post a ticket at bugtracker

Doesn't help. As I said it seems that this is not the guest problem, cause for all my guests, also Linux based, there is nothing to select in common for all Devices -> USB submenu. I've tried to reinstall it, uninstall/install ext pack manually - nothing helps. So I just downgraded to 4.3.30 - and it works perfectly!

Same thing happened to me. I upgraded my Linux Host from 4.3.30 to 5.0 and experienced the same problem.
I uninstalled 5.0, rebooted, and then installed 5.0 from scratch and then it worked.

I don't know if it will help you on a Windows host (or that you'd want to go through the effort now that you downgraded), but just thought I'd mention it.

Here's the link to the thread where I experienced this issue:
