Hello, dear community,

due to interfering with my network settings (when Win 7 ultimate 64 coming out of sleep mode) I wanted to deinstall an old Virtual Box installation.

Deinstallations cancels as it doesn't find the installer VirtualBox-4.04-70112-MultiArch_amd64.msi in the folder AppData\Local\Temp\VirtualBox\

I deleted files in the Temp folder (and backup files) long ago thinking it was save to do so....

I neither can uninstall the old version nor upgrade to the current version of VirtualBox now.

Do you have any idea what I could do?

The usual solution is to download that installer again, unpack it into separate .msis per instructions in the user manual, then put that .msi file in the named folder.

The problem is the old installer is not available any more to download. I searched for quite a while but didn't find

VirtualBox-4.04-70112-MultiArch_amd64.msi

on the web.

So because I deleted files in TEMPORARY folder, i'm stuck with a non-working system and can neither install the current Virtual Box version nor deinstall the old one?

The installer is an exe, which needs to be unpacked into separate MSIs as I already said. Details of how are given in the user manual - search for msi. You will not find the msi with an internet search.
