Keyboard mapping problem

Post by jfbe »

Vbox 5.0.0
Host : Windows 8.1
Guest: Windows XP Pro SP3

Since I have installed Vbox and the extension pack, and created a VM from an existing file, most of the right hand keyboard keys type the wrong characters: uiop = 456*, jkl; = 123-, m = 0, 0 = /, / = + :?:

This happens in both the guest and host OS applications and the same wrong keys are present regardless of the keyboard layouts in the host or guest, ex: English US, French, etc.

The wrong keys are still present in the host OS applications after a reboot without Vbox being started  : the keys are ok before a user session is opened, ex: when typing the user password, but they are wrong again as soon as the session is opened.

Any help would be very much appreciated!

Jean
