Hello All,
I would like to create a Windows network environment inside of VirtualBox including Win Sever 2012, DHCP, DNS, Windows 7, and Windows 8. I will practicing some labs in preparation from a few Microsoft Server certification exams. I would like to set this environment up in a computer sitting at my work place; however, i don't want any traffic exiting the test environment e.g. (IP address leasing from DHCP, DNS configurations) except for out bound web traffic. I would like to work on the computer from home connecting back to my work network via Cirtix. Does anyone have suggestions as to how i can achieve this?

Re: Keeping Windows environment traffic inside of VirtualBox
Setting up a system like this is easy. You simply connect all the vms to an internal network. Giving this network Internet access is harder. It requires setting up a virtual router in a vm to connect the private LAN to the physical network. Accessing this network from the Internet is even harder.
This difficulty has nothing to do with VirtualBox. You would have the same problems with physical machines on a physical switch. The problems are partly the way routers work and partly the way Windows domains work.
