Vmplayer VM unroutable to VirtualBox VMs In The Same Subnet

I'm running into an issue where I have Vmplayer and VirtualBox VMs both bridged, using dhcp, reaches the external network, and other hosts on the network can ping all the VMs. However, Vmplayer VMs and VirtualBox VMs can't ping each other.

These are the test results:

Vmplayer VMs _can_ ping other Vmplayer VMs

VirtualBox VMs _can_ ping other VirtualBox VMs

Other hosts can ping _both_ Vmplayer VMs and VirtualBox VMs

Vmplayer VMs _can't_ ping VirtualBox VMs

VirtualBox VMs _can't_ ping Vmplayer VMs

Try to set the promiscious mode to "Allow all" in the VBox config and try to pint from the VMware VM to the VBox VM.

Just tried that to no avail. Still unable to see each other

I'm suspecting the filters don't play nice with each other, hard to tell which one is the bad one (if not both).
A quick search on Google is confirming my suspition, and there is no workable solution with your setup. Some websites seems to refer to using host-only for a dedicated link between the two VMs, but that's it.

That is super unfortunate
