Hi,
I use Windows 7 64 with VirtualBox 4.3.28 r100309
I can't start any VM with bridge configuration
-----------------------
Apertura di una sessione per la Macchina Virtuale CentOS 6.6 x64 non riuscita.
Failed to open/create the internal network 'HostInterfaceNetworking-Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller' (VERR_INTNET_FLT_IF_NOT_FOUND).
Failed to attach the network LUN (VERR_INTNET_FLT_IF_NOT_FOUND).

Codice 'uscita: E_FAIL (0x80004005)
Componente: Console
Interfaccia: IConsole {8ab7c520-2442-4b66-8d74-4ff1e195d2b6}

When i choose NAT then my VM launches without any problem
Any idea to resolve this ?
Thank you !

Please post the log file and the output of 'VBoxManage list bridgedifs'.

I see nothing wrong with the config, I can only assume that there's something unusual about the network card. Is it actually an Ethernet LAN card, i.e. not dialup? Not a winmodem? I note that the device name is very non-networky.

Mpack, if the "name" you're wondering about is "Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller", that's definitely a network card; at least two of my working hosts have that name for the physical on-board network ports that Virtualbox sees.

I don't doubt that it's used for networking. My question is whether it is really a traditional Ethernet card, or is it a software trick similar to the old WinModem. I'm just suspicious because it says "PCIe ... Controller". What part of the name indicates the network role?

In fact it might be useful to see the output of "ipconfig /all" run on the host. I want to see if the host considers this to be a currently working LAN interface.

It is a true adapter Don. I believe this is what they had in mine with the GBE
Realtek PCIe Giga Bit Ethernet Family Controller

Hmm. I assumed you would see for yourself that your RealTek card doesn't seem to listed as an available interface in the ipconfig output. Obviously if the card doesn't exist then you can't bridge to it. Have you perhaps disabled this card?
