The error is either

Could not get the storage format of the medium '/Users/Liz/VirtualBox VMs/Windows 10/Windows 10.vbox-prev' (VERR_NOT_SUPPORTED).

Im really new so I will try to provide as much information as I can and hopefully you guys can help. Thanks in advance!

I started by downloading Oracle VM Virtual Box 4.3.28 and the Windows 10 insider preview x64 EN-US

The settings on Virtual Box are

Name: Windows 10
Type: Mircosoft Windows
Version: Windows 8.1 (64bit)
Mermory Size: 2048MB
Boot Order: CD/DVD, Hard Disk
Acceleration: VT-x/AMD-V, Nested Paging
Video Memory: 128MB
Remote Desktop Server: Disabled
Video Capture: Disabled
Controller: IDE
IDE Secondary Master: [CD/DVD] Host Drive 'MASHITA DVD -R UJ-8A8'
Controller: SATA
SATA Port 0: Windows 10.vdi (Normal 25.00GB)
Host Driver: CoreAudio
Controller: Intel HD Audio
Adapter 1: Intel PRO/1000 MT Desktop (NAT)
Device Filters: 0 (0 Active)
Shared Folders: None
Description: None

In my storage tree, Attributes under CD/DVD Drive: IDE Secondary Master
Clicking choose the Virtual CD/DVD disk file to Windows 10.vbox.prev
The error of Failed to open the optical disk file pops up

When I click on the green arrow start, the Fatal error shows up.

Can you guys let me know what I can do to install windows on my mac? Im trying to run only 1 software that is only compatible Windows.

It seems like you have been trying to mount random host files as virtual media, and generally made a big mess.

If I was you I would scrap and delete everything I'd done so far, and start again. Don't thrash. When mounting optical media the correct file type is the ISO you downloaded from the Microsoft site. Choose the correct guest OS template (Win10, or Win8.1 if using <VBox 4.3.28) when creating the VM. And read the first few chapters of the VBox user manual, which covers first steps in creating a VM.
