Error VBOX_E_OBJECT_IN_USE (0x80BB000C)

Post by daankempeneers »

Hello,

The first thing I will say: my English is not very good :-)
But, this is the error code in VirtualBox 4.3.28(and I tried it with 4.3.6) if I will open my school VM. I copyd the VM from my PC to a laptop, and after a few days from the laptop back to my pc. Since this time he is giving this error code. Can anyone help me? I need the VM for school. Thanks!

My specs: Windows 8.1, 16GB RAM, I5-4590.

The error code:

Het is niet gelukt virtuele machine aanwezig in J:/Windows Server 2012 Daan1/Windows Server 2012 Daan.vbox te openen.

Medium 'J:\Windows Server 2012 Daan1\Windows Server 2012 Daan.vdi' cannot be closed because it is still attached to 1 virtual machines.

You need to remove the VM and select "Remove Only". Then go into the Virtual Disk Manager located in the File menu or with Ctrl+D. In there, remove (but do not delete) any reference to disk in that VM directory.
Close VirtualBox manager and make sure to wait for the VBoxSVC process to close also (check with the Task Manager). Then, reopen VirtualBox and add your VM again via the Machine menu.
