I've got a laptop with a wifi connection, Windows 7 is my O.S host and I use an ubuntu server like a guest system in virtualbox to test a webserver. When I've installed Ubuntu server, I'm going to configure wireless network and I look that this connection that have got in my system host in guest shows like a ethernet connection.

Is there any way to set up my host wifi connection in virtualbox so the ubuntu-server detect this emulate conection like a wifi connection?

No, there isn't. All directly accessible hardware inside a VM is simulated, and VirtualBox doesn't include a simulation of a wireless NIC.

The only way to get a wireless connection in a VM is indirectly, e.g. via a USB-wireless adapter.
