Win7 crash on bootup after updates.

HOST: Ubuntu 14.04 64
GUEST: Windows 7 Ultimate 64
Naturally, a few hours after I installed and ran Win 7, it started updating from the net and requiring a reboot. Prior to these updates it booted up no problem. But after a batch of these updates and the required reboot, it just crashes after about 15 seconds into the screen where the color sprites come together to form the windows logo. The crash immediately returns me to the VirtualBox home screen.
So I just want to check whether the problem has anything to do with my VirtualBox setup. And so here is the logfile from a crashing bootup:
