FTP Server

Hi,

• My version is 4.3.28r, yes I have installed the Guest Additions
  I have Windows 8.1 as Host and Windows Server 2008R2 as Guest, where I have FileZilla Server running.
  The logfile is attached.

I can't connect a ftp client from the host machine to the guest machine, where I have installed Filezilla Server.
I can connect by the way to the port 80 and 443 from host to guest, where I have IIS running.

I had a NAT and Only Anfitrion circuit configured to be able to have a static ip at the guest
Now I changed into Bridge for both network devices (and the static IP is still working apprantly, so I don't understand the trick below)

I have read post with success results, but I can't make it work. I also tried the pasive configuration when had NAT enabled.

I'll appreciate one guide here. Thanks in advance.

It looks like you need to forward the specific port that is used for FTP. Normally 21 but could be different depending on how you set it up.
This should be easy to do in the main manager guest network settings.

Hi, thanks for your time.

The ftp server I have configured by default, 21 port.

Those lines that you are refering I think they come from when I had another configuration (NAT & Only host). I that case I redirect the ports. I tried with the pasive mode also.

Now I turned into Bridge for both VM net devices, since I have read this is the most simple way to make all services to work from guest. But no luck with 21.

Any help?
Do you need I provide any information more?

I'll really appreciate someone to guide to the success, I don't understuand why it is not working following the information I have found.

First I would remove the forwards and reboot the host and guest and see if that cleans out the network stack and you have a working system.
