Error when selecting ISO file

Hello everyone

i am new to virtual box but have been trying to make a Windows 7 virtual machine. i make a new machine select Windows 7 64bit and when i start the machine for the first time and select my ISO to boot from i get the following

Failed to open the optical disk file C:\Users\fhaldhflkjk\Downloads\en_windows_7_professional_with_sp1_x64_dvd_u_676939 (1).iso.

Could not get the storage format of the medium 'C:\Users\fhaldhflkjk\Downloads\en_windows_7_professional_with_sp1_x64_dvd_u_676939 (1).iso' (VERR_NOT_SUPPORTED).

does anyone know what this means and how i can fix it?

Who made this DVD, and do you have the original ISO file? Other than it just being bad all indications are that it is corrupt.
Check the md5sum to verify that it is good.
