While I have no idea why it does not work for you, as you say it is pointless to proceed since you have a working solution.

FWIW, the driver in question: C:\system32\drivers\E1G6032E.sys

There is no full official version of Windows 10 so no drivers officially for that. If you are using Windows 10, you should have all the necessary drivers installed by default by Microsoft from its update server.
So I would say there is no way for you to find a specific driver for Windows 10.
However, just as some people said, you may try your previous system's drivers which may work as well on Windows 10 luckily. No vain? Downgrade your OS.
As the last choice, seek a fortune forautomatic driver finder tool, hope it will find a proper driver for your Windows 10. Search a free one from google, try DriveTheLife.
