ERROR: Windows cannot install required files. Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation. Error Code: 0x8007025D
Installing fresh copy of Win8.1 Pro x64 on Windows 7 host. Enter keycode, it starts to install files, gets between 40-60% and throws this error. Installing from an ISO. I have already tried the following command: "c:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox\VBoxManage.exe" setextradata "VM Name" VBoxInternal/CPUM/CMPXCHG16B 1" Did NOT work. Any other suggestions?
In settings, I have it set to Windows, Windows 8.1 (64 bit).

Where did the .iso come from? Sounds like it's incomplete.

Why? Where did you get that obsolete workaround from? I agree with Lou that this sounds like ISO corruption. If it comes from a reputable source then make sure the MD5 checksum is ok.
