Error creating Windows 10 Tech Preview VM

Post by Mobeous »

I have an HP ENVY x360 laptop w/ 8GB RAM running Windows 8.1 and a home built Windows 7 Ultimate x64 w/ 16GB, Intel i7-4790k CPU. Both computers are having the same issue with VirtualBox v4.3.28 trying to create a VM from Windows 10 TP. I'm getting the same error on both machines, as soon as the VM starts to boot from the ISO I get a blue Recovery screen with the error message "The digital signature for this file couldn't be verified." File:\windows\system32\boot\winload.exe Error code: 0xc0000428. I've tried to search the forums but I don't find them very search friendly or maybe I need help with how to search. I read the FAQ on how to search but that didn't seem to help either.

I also seem to remember a couple of months ago as I had this running before I upgraded my home machine on VirtualBox v4.3.24 several articles showing settings for Windows 10 TP that need to be changed in the OS and I can't find them anymore. I've searched the net too and nothing comes up with this error either except to try to turn off digital signing of files but that didn't help. Here is the log from the laptop. -Thanks for any help, tips or articles that point out what the problem is.

Has no one see this error, have any advice or can point me to the articles that show what settings in the OS need to be changed for Windows 10 TP? Everything is set in the UEFI/BIOS (Virtualization) but I thought when I found that article months ago it said if your having issues with installing Win 10 TP try changing the settings for DEP under Advanced System Properties but I can't be sure.

I ran into this problem recently and was able to resolve it by setting the host pc date to 1st November 2015 and then launching the VM. I then saved a snapshot so I didn't have to keep setting the host pc date back.
