How do I disable the guests (XP) clock?

Post by rndom »

This is a strange question I know but basically I need to make it so that the time on my guest is static and never changes, even when booted. Any ideas?

Not that strange. Sounds like you are trying to circumvent a trial period which no one here will help with.

I don't think stopping the system clock is possible. All modern computers and OSs have and use the clock. Virtualbox has a way to make the date and time relative to the host clock, but not to stop the clock altogether, that I've ever seen.

In any case lots of software will be screwed up if datestamps can't be trusted.

Go on eBay, buy a genuine XP license. Avoid HP, Dell, recovery and upgrade CDs.
