Can't install Win 7 or Ubuntu - Virtual Disk Errors?!

Hello,

Just installed the latest 4.3.28 Virtual Box on Windows 7 Ultimate x64 on an Asus H87I-Plus motherboard. Tried to install another virtual Win 7 from ISO file and get:

'windows cannot install required files. The file may be corrupt or missing... Error code 0x80070570'

I thought it might be a problem with the ISO so tried the latest LTS Ubuntu and get an input output error! It is having problems reading or writing somewhere.

I am using a samsung SSD drive which has no problems at all. What can be happening? THANKS.

VM Player is doing the same thing, so it looks like the problem is something other than Virtual Box!
