Ubuntu virtual to phisical

Hello,

I am on a Windows 7 Host and i have a virtual machine with Ubuntu. I'd like to transfer the virtual machine to a phisical one without having to create all from skratch. Is it possibile to make it export to an, let's say .iso or .img file?

If not, what's the best way to do that?

Thank you in advice,

Diego.

If you're using virtualbox 4.x, simply copy the VM folder to the next host, then "Add" it to the other Virtualbox installation. you can add via the menu in the virtualbox manager by pointing to the .vbox file inside the VM folder.

I believe that the OP is talking about a Virtual to Physical, not about moving a VM between hosts.

Right, my bad. Then I am afraid this a delicate subject. P2V is delicate enough, V2P is very rare on top of that. No good idea/links on my side except for using the P2V guidelines anyway

The name of the application in Ubuntu that allows you to create a bootable .iso of the install escapes me at the moment but it's there. Most Linux distros either come with such a package or it can be installed from its repo.
