Can't run a machine

Hi,
I'm using VB to have different systems. I used the common procedure to resize a .vdi disk (create a new one and clone the disk) but now no machine will work, I get a "FATAL: No bootable medium found! System halted." message so I can't get my data back. Is there a way to get it working?
Thanks.

"Create a new one and clone the disk"... doesn't mean anything to me. And "no machine will work" doesn't tell me anything either. How many machines are we talking about?
Cloning a VM - and I assume it was a full clone (not linked) - cannot cause the above error. Something is missing from the problem description, probably quite a lot of things.
And what version of VirtualBox are you using?
I suspect that you've been blindly following some ancient and obsolete guidance, and didn't get it right anyway.
Cloning a VM is simple: right click VM in GUI, select "Clone" (make sure it's a full clone, current state only).
To resize the disk, carefully read the FAQ here:
How to resize a virtual drive. If you prefer a GUI then the drive can also be resized using
CloneVDI.

I didn't pay attention to the date but I should have!
Thanks for that.
Do you think I could recover my VM?

There's no way to answer that with the information given. You said "create a new one and clone the disk", which I took to mean that you followed an obsolete procedure of creating a new VM and replacing the default disk in that VM with a clone of the disk from an original VM.
In which case the original VM is untouched and doesn't need to be recovered.
