The response I got in the Windows forums was:
This was Related to e22w8x64.sys Killer e2200 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller from Qualcomm Atheros, Inc. I would remove the current driver and install the newest driver available.
Is there another driver available for the ethernet emulation?

Are these inside the guest or on the host? Did you manually install that driver or was it the default Windows one?

I have attached a number of log files as I am not sure which one corresponds to the crash. Configuration file is also attached.

Nothing wrong with VirtualBox. It looks like your Windows installation is not right and the wrong driver is present for the cards. Where did you get that VM? it doesn't look like you made it yourself.

I have a base VM for Windows 7 Ultimat x64 that I use as a starting point that was originally installed from an ISO -- it is fully patched. I then used the Clone function to clone the machine. I release the hard drive from the new VM and move it to another physical drive. I then rename the VHD and connected it back to the clone.
I installed some software to test that uses a runtime version of Access 2007. That requires run Windows Update a number of times to update Access. I then installed an updated version of the software to test. Tried to run Windows Update and the machine crashed.
Please note that all of the installed updates only touched Access as all of the other updates were applied to the base system before cloning to get it current.
The software that I am interested in testing should not have an Ethernet Controller driver in it. I will see if I can keep the machine running long enough to identify the Ethernet Controller driver.
