Hello,
i'm using Win7 Pro and just installed VirtualBox 4.3.16. I've imported an .ova file which i've exported from another machine Win7 pro. When the machine is starting it gets stuck on 'waiting for network configuration' and after a couple of minutes it displays:
My host only adapter settings are set properly:
i've created a new host only ethernet adapter #2 but no success.
pinging 192.168.56.1 is returning 'network unreachable' inside the machine.
Ifconfig returns eth0 & lo.
/etc/network/interfaces/ has the below:
#the loopback network interface
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback
#the primary network interface
auto eth0
iface eth0 inet dhcp
auto eth1
iface eth1 inet dhcp
Any help i would greatly appreciate it!
Thank you.

Well I am not sure about atom but if it follows Linux correctly it could be that you need to fix the network stack. ( on the guest )
Usually Linux creates rules and when the MAC address is changed ( as in exporting ) you need to adjust accordingly. The following is only a suggestion but has fixed this issue for me when this happens, but remember I have not used atom so no promise.
edit the /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules or you can delete the rules and Linux will configure it on the next boot

Re: Win7 Pro - Oracle VM VirtualBox host only adapter issue
The windows tells you that the file is generated so I would rename the original file and reboot the system to see if it will generate the file again for the now changes.
