HTTPS in browsers in WinXP guest don't work
HTTPS in browsers in WinXP guest don't work
My VirtualBox Windows XP VM works great for the most part, except If my IE sessions want to switch to a secure web page (h ttps), they only give a 'This page cannot be displayed' error. The host in Windows 7 64 bit, using a USB wireless adapter. Normal pages work fine, so maybe I need to do something special about the certificates? Anybody have some hints? Share the certificates cache or something?

Re: HTTPS in browsers in WinXP guest don't work
If your XP guest normally can browse to 'http' sites on the web, then Virtualbox has done its job. Network, internet access and guest OS are running correctly. After this point, not being able to go to 'https' sites would be a question for googling and browsing/asking in other forums which would handle https-failures.
As a suggestion, try installing Firefox or Chrome to see if the issue exists in those browsers. Might just be an IE glitch.

These pages probably use a higher SSL level which is not available in the old XP / IE.
