As title sais, Guest Additions is installed on the guest Windows 7 64bit, yet when trying to access shared folders getting warning:
"The VirtualBox Guest Additions do not appear to be available on this virtual machine, and shared folders cannot be used without them. To use shared folders inside the virtual machine, please install the Guest Additions if they are not installed, or re-install them if they are not working correctly, by selecting Insert Guest Additions CD image from the Devices menu. If they are installed but the machine is not yet fully started then shared folders will be available once it is."
Can't access shared folders.

Basic information:
* VBox Version: 4.3.26_OSE r98988
* Guest Additions 2.2.0 installed on guest.
* Host: 4.0.1-1-ARCH, AMD 64bit. RAM: 8GB. HIS HD4870 IceQ4+.
* Guest: Windows 7 64bit. HDD 25GB reserved space (13GB free), RAM 2GB reserved, 64MB Video Memory reserved.

Guest Additions is registered as installed, ISO mounted.

I tried:
* Removing and re-installing Guest doesn't help.
* Removing and re-installing Guest Additions doesn't help.
* Removing and re-installing Oracle VirtualBox doesn't help.
* Changing settings for Guest doesn't help...

Log and screenshot in attachment.

Would appriciate any help or tips for solving it.
More detailed information, additional logs - ask and define what you need and I provide.

Thanks in advance.

You actually have two problems.

1) the guest additions are mounted but you still need to install them by running the installation from inside the guest.

2) Now this is the big problem. You are not running the official version of VirtualBox from VirtualBox.org. I suspect you are running a repo version but that does not matter. You would need to remove it and install the official version for us to be able to help.

Replacing current VirtualBox with one downloaded from official download page as well as re-installing guest from scratch as I type this.

Would like to point out that the Guest Additions are installed as clearly seen in the screenshot. Else wouldn't be listed as installed in Programs & Features, nor would uninstaller be avaiable in menu.

I would point out the GAs you have installed are from Sun which Oracle acquired 5 years ago and aren't going to work.

/run/media/nim/WD-Ghost/Downloads/ISO/VBoxGuestAdditions_2.2.0.iso"

But I don't see where they are actually loaded and working. So it must be that you are using such an old version of the guest additions it just will not work.

Once you have the right build installed you should already have the proper additions that can be mounted from the devices tab, but if you can't find them listed yo can always download the separate additions from the site. Make sure they match

Well... obviously they didn't work and due to that I was posting in the first place loukingjr.

All back live, official version this time with extention pack, as well as freshly installed Win 7 64 Guest. Finally working~

Thanks for the swift support.

PS. On a side-note, If increasing Video Memory to 128MB even Aero seems to work. DS.
