Virtual machine is turned off

Hi,

Im running a virtual machine with win8 that keeps getting turned off. Does anyone know a solution to this problem?

The machine is downloaded from modern.ie.

I have turned off all sleep modes etc both on the machine running virtual box and the virtual machine itself but it keeps turning off when im not using it. I don't know how long time it takes before it is turned off but during a day it is turned off several times.

You'd have to define what "turned off" means. Do you mean that the VM window closes (which would mean a crash, not a power saving feature), or only that it goes black (which would indicate guest power saving)?

Does the VirtualBox Manager say Aborted or Powered Off for your VM? Aborted would indicate it crashed, whereas Powered Off would indicate that something told it to shut down.

Thanks for your replies. The VM window has closed and Virtual Box Manager says Powered Off.

I have added a new virtual machine which isn't turned off all the time. So problem "solved".
