Let me apologize in advance, but I so wore out trying to get my Win 8.1 VM's to PXE boot from SCCM 2012 R2.......I really need help.......I was using VirtualBox Version 4.3.26, then I read that PXE does not work on that version so I downgraded to version: 4.2.28 and now I'm getting the Error: Your PC Needs to Restart......To summarize where I'm currently at: The VMs do talk to the DHCP Server and get an IP Address, but I am getting the following errors (Please see the attachements)
Error: "An operating system wasn't found. Try disconnecting any drives that don't contain an operating system. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart.
I really need and expert as I'm probably a "Dumb Bell" in the eyes of many........However, if there is Dare Devil that can do a Join.me session where I can share my Desktop with that person, I am willing to pay that person $200.00 ASAP once the issue is RESOLVED.
Many Thank,
pcboyee.

Re: I really need help Setting Up VirtualBox PXE...
Hi pcboyee,
I'm having the excact same issue occuring on a Ubuntu 14.04 host when I try to PXE boot a Windows 7 vbox client, I get an identical error message just after the Windows splashscreen for SCCM2012.
I have had success using the excact same installations steps only a month ago, but regardless if I use an older version og Vbox/extension now or not, the error won't go away.
I think the users who are able to help might need some more information though, like the log file and perhaps some VBoxManage.
Example of my output from "VBoxManage list extpacks"
I hope our problem can be solved.

Hi pcboyee,
I found the solution for my problem on viewtopic.php?f=8&t=60535, the command should be the same on Windows hosts.
Shutdown the virtual machine
Open Command Prompt
Type:
Start up virtual machine and it should be working.

Re: I really need help Setting Up VirtualBox PXE...
If your host is a Windows PC, you must set you command window to point at the folder that Vboxmanage.exe is in, then the Vboxmanage commands will work. If you are feeling able to do so, you can put the path to Vboxmanage.exe in your OS's PATH variable (google for how to) then you can be in any command window or batch file and Vboxmanage.exe will run.
Re: I really need help Setting Up VirtualBox PXE...
Yes, the vboxmanage commands ran but the error did not go away.....
Re: I really need help Setting Up VirtualBox PXE...
After successfully running the vboxmanage command, I still get the Error Code: 0c000000c4 you must restart the computer error message.......

Where did you read that? Did you mix that up with 4.3.22 by any chance?pcboyee wrote:I was using VirtualBox Version 4.3.26, then I read that PXE does not work on that version
I don't think Windows 8.1 guests will run in VirtualBox 4.2 very well. You're wasting time with such an outdated version.so I downgraded to version: 4.2.28 and now I'm getting the Error: Your PC Needs to Restart.
