Clone/copy a virtualbox from a Windows 7 OS to a mac OS
I am trying clone a virtualbox that is ~ 200Gb and transfer it to an external hard drive so that I can install it on another host computer but my C drive only has ~ 48Gb free space left so the cloning process aborts. Is there a way to clone a virtualbox directly to an external hard drive rather than having the clone generated on the C drive (ie Computer/OS (C:)/Users/admin/VirtualBox VMs/) and having to copy the cloned .vdi file to an external hard drive?

Change the setting File|Preferences|Default Machine Folder. This is the folder where new VMs will be created.
p.s. VirtualBox is the name of the software. The VM is called a VM.
