I'm not reporting this as a bug because i believe it's a design issue.
Here's what's happening. I have a Win7 Host and a WinXP guest. I'm using the guest in Seamless mode, without 3D acceleration (driver not loaded and relevant setting not checked in configuration), 2D only. I've created a small app which contains a combobox with 3 items in it and is placed in the bottom of the window. When i try to open the combobox, the part of it that exists outside the window borders is not visible. Here's an image which clearly shows the problem.
I hope something can be done to change this behavior, if not in VBox 4.x series then at least in the 5.x series.
Thanks.

Re: Truncated combobox in seamless mode
I see this, too. If another guest window is open underneath the dropdown, the whole dropdown shows, but if only the dropdown itself is going to be present on the seamless desktop, the dropdown cuts off at the window border. Windows 7 guest for me. I'd report this in the Bugtracker to let the developers know: https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Bugtracker Post the link to your ticket if you make one.

I actually found that there's already a 4-year-old ticket on this issue, ticket #9586 ...to which I contributed a fresh example today before finding this forum.scottgus1 wrote:Post the link to your ticket if you make one.

Thanks for pointing this out. I've also updated the ticket. Let's hope it will eventually be changed.
