actually they are the same but different builds. The ones in the first link are newer.

If you want to try this, there is an .ova file of Windows 10 you can download and install by using import appliance from here:

been away for a while. Tried your option but stuck on another problem that unfortunately seems not only mine:

Make sure you don't have EFI enabled for the guest.

Hi, just read through the MS post (which shows is not working properly, at least not for everybody) and checked that.
EFI was disabled by default.

Just downloaded latest versione 4.3.28 r100309 and related extension pack but still no luck.
Didn't try a real install BTW, so I will give it a try as soon as I'll find the time ....

Did you ever get Windows 8/8.1 running as a guest? If not, you need to figure out why not because they are stable releases and Windows 10 is not.
