am looking to see if you could run facetime through virtualbox and how if possible becuase i have a iphone which doesnt support facetime but dont want skype etc

There are ways to get Facetime working on Windows. Just do a Google search for "Facetime Windows".

have done but many you have to do surveys and not really wanting to do surveys plus the ones i seen virtualbox dont support mountain lion now

Actually you can run Mountain Lion in VirtualBox on Apple hardware.
