screen cutoff

Hi,

I'm running VirtualBox on an HP Spectre x360 running Windows 8.1 64 bit. The screen appears as a small square, and I can't access the VM software interface outside of this square. I can't scroll to see more, it just cuts off at the screen resolution. If I switch modes, it allows me to make the screen bigger, but everything just gets bigger, so I don't see more of the Window. Pop up dialogs and messages appear correctly so the VM appears to be working OK, but as all controls are at the edge of the Window I can do nothing with the VM.

I have had VM working perfectly on my old Sony Vaio laptop and have installed the older version used on the Sony as well as the latest version downloaded yesterday from the Internet. Neither version work correctly on my new machine. I cannot find any controls to adjust the setup nor any advice on the Internet about this problem.

Anyone got any ideas as to whats happening here and how to fix it?

Silly me. The Bios setting for virtualisation was set to disabled. Enabled it and all is now correct
