Trouble with my shared folder(s)

Post by greeneggs83 »

Hello, I am running Virtual Box 4.3.26 and I'm having trouble accessing my shared folders.

Both the host machine and the VB machine are running a 64 bit version of Windows 7.

It's been a while since I used VB and when I opened it up today (and updated to the latest version) I can not access my shared folders.

When I go to "Shared Folder Settings" in VB, I can see my shared folders listed with the correct path. But when I try to access them through the network, I get a message that says "This computer is not connected to a network. Click to connect..." I have tried creating new folders, sharing them appropriately, and selecting them inside VB but nothing is working.

I tried clicking on "Insert Guest Additions CD image..." thinking that that was somehow the problem but nothing happens.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Please read the following: Minimum information needed for assistance. I'm mostly interested in a compressed (zipped) VBox.log, of a complete session. That means, boot the guest, observe the problem, fully shut down the guest, zip the VBox.log, attach it here.

Second, what's the status in your network center? As detailed as you can please. And also, post the output of the command "ipconfig /all".
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.
Do NOT reply with the "QUOTE" button, please use the "POST REPLY", at the bottom of the form.
If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.
