i have a cheap usb to rj 45 adapter.

when i set the vm to bridge to this the guest doesnt gets ip from the dhcp which happens to be my adsl router.
upon assigning manual ip from same subnet to vm vam can only ping host but not the adsl router. all are on same subnet.
In window 7 it is identified

however VM Ware workstation sees it as Kontron usb 2.0 10/100M Ethernet adapter.
why ?
