networking between guest and host

Hi.

I have windows7 as a host with Oracle Linux 6.6 as the guest.
I have the following need:

1) Both host and guess can ping one another.
2) Both host and guess can use the internet.
3) Guest has software servers (daemons) (udp, tcp whatever) that can be accessed from host.
4) The servers (daemons) in step 3 above need to be started on static ip address.
Thanks
nick

Start by reading Chapter 6.2. Introduction to networking modes, but I believe that bridged mode can satisfy all the requirements. Just make sure that your static IP doesn't conflict with an already given out address by your router.
