Re: Vm Ext pack error
The VirtualBox version and the ExtPack version have to be the same.

Re: Vm Ext pack error
Try installing the extension pack from a subfolder, not the root folder of a drive. VirtualBox has been known to have problems with that before.
As Socratis said, the extpack version number must match the VirtualBox version, otherwise you are just wasting time. If you have VirtualBox 4.3.26 installed then you must install the 4.3.26 extension pack - that being the pack which extends VBox 4.3.26.
Oh, and with whatever guide you are following, please note the difference between (host) extension pack and Guest Additions.
If you need to continue this conversation then provide a VM log file: Minimum information needed for assistance.

Re: Vm Ext pack error
It looks like you downloaded the ext pk to your download folder on your C: drive but it's looking to install it on an E: drive.
Are you trying to install the ext pk in the VirtualBox preferences?

Re: Vm Ext pack error
why?
move it back to your c: drive
open virtualbox
go to preferences>extensions
remove any existing ext pk
add the 4.3.26 ext pk.

Re: Vm Ext pack error
That's fine and VirtualBox runs from it.
Then you should be able to do what I said, Start VirtualBox etc.
