I'm getting an identical problem. All I did was upgrade to the latest and now none of my VM's are starting. I shut them down, did not save states. Same error as previous poster.

Any ideas?

  1. Are you sure you're getting the exact same error as the OP? Because you didn't provide any detailed information, you said a "me too, can't start any VM", which can be attributed to a lot of factors. We can't know for sure unless you provide some more detailed information (logs, error messages, other symptoms).
  2. The OP provided a link with a solution. Did you try that?
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.
Do NOT reply with the "QUOTE" button, please use the "POST REPLY", at the bottom of the form.
If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.

Yes I was getting the exact same error which is why I said:
...Same error as previous poster.
I understand you need information to solve a problem. If nothing else you could at least assume I was validating the OP's concern by sharing my identical issue and bumping this to the top of the list. Next time I have an issue I will post more information regarding it.

I didn't see the OP's solution until now when I just came here to reply. I checked prior to posting if the issue existed elsewhere. I assure you I am not the lackadaisical forum lurker that ignores the search function before posting.I can't know for sure but I don't believe the solution was there when I posted my reply. Otherwise, why would I post a reply.

I did try the solution he posted and it worked for me.

Thank you!

Beats me, but if the OP had edited his reply after you posted then it would show a "Last edited"... legend below the message, just like the one I'm about to manually put on your message per example.

Yeah, I was looking for something that said "edit" and couldn't find it.

So maybe the OP did post a question and a solution at the same time :?: :?:

At the end of the day my VM's are up and running so I'm happy.

He doesn't need to have posted the solution at the same time. The edit legend only appears if the message is edited after someone else has commented on the original text. In the case above it was around a week before you commented, which does seem like the OP had plenty of time to find and add mention of a solution.

For which I thank him btw.
