SadPerson, the mac thing was for me. Your problem is definitely not in Virtualbox. You're gonna have to ask your linked folks about the issue.
Ah, Lou, now I get it. Maybe a different image editor besides Windows Paint would have helped me.... Gimp, where are you , Gimp?

Okay, now that I'm done being silly, you just need a graphic program that allows one to change the compression rate.
GIMP would be fine.

You do know I have told SadPerson more than once we are not a phpVirtualBox support site and his issue is not with VirtualBox. It doesn't seem to "take".

Yeah, I did pick up on your telling Sad that. Just wanted to see what was in the screenshot, after which I had a strong feeling this wasn't php
Virtualbox, but some other php program running in his guest. Turns out it's apparently OpenACH (
http://openach.com/books/installing-openach) linked in Sad's tinyurl.
Either way, not a Virtualbox issue and not answerable here, Sad.

my feeling was since he never denied using phpVirtualBox that's what he was using.
Anyway, hopefully he will find help.

is there any other more appropriate FORUM (discussion board) for this?

Think of it this way, Sad. Let's pretend you buy a Windows PC. Or a Mac, as Lou would. The computer boots up and runs properly. You then install in that computer a program, let's say Angry Birds. You have a problem running Angry Birds. Do you ask Microsoft or Apple about the Angry Birds problem, or do you ask the Angry Birds developers? The computer is working and running, it's Angry Birds that is not running. Who would it be right to ask?
With that illustration in mind, we move to your situation. Virtualbox is running the Ubuntu guest properly and you have a command prompt. Virtualbox is working properly. You have a non-Virtualbox program installed in your guest, which is giving you problems. You linked via TinyURL to that program. Who do you think you should ask about the problem?

There's a mantra? lol
Actually believe it or not, the entire reason I bought a Linux and Windows PC was to test VirtualBox on those hosts.
