I recently installed a Virtual Box because I'd like to learn to use my Windows XP guest as Tomcat Server, but I can't enstablish a connection between host and guest.
At the begin I haven't Network adapter driver installed, but later I installed it, but it still doesn't work.
I also installed a Guest addittion, but It still doesn't work.
Somebody can help me to find a way to solve this problem.
Thanks

Re: I can't create a connettion in Windows XP guest
Where are you running the host machine? If you are running it on a LAN, the obvious thing to do is run the vm in bridged mode. You should then be able to connect to the server from any machine on the LAN (including the host).
If the host is running as a standalone computer, the way to connect to the guest from the host is to set up one NIC of the guest as a host only connection.
