WIN 8.1 host- Xp pro client- unable to connect to domain

Post by Topsmack »

First time using VM and virtualbox.

Have a win 8.1 64 bit host. Latest version of virtualbox.

Created an XP Pro VM to connect to a Physical win2k server that hosts some old accounting software. Only the XP VM is connecting to the domain, the host is not part of domain.
I am using bridge mode for the networking.

I got it all installed, joined domain, installed program. Been running about 2 weeks no problems.

Today, i get UNABLE TO CONNECT to domain error when logging in with the VM. Made sure I typed the password correctly, still nothing. Tried logging in as another user and got in. Logged out, Would not log back in, get the same error.

Switched to NAT mode for networking, was able to log in. Logged out, and when tried to log back in, get the error.
I know the domain is fine, checked it, logged in and out with a physical machine with no problem

Restarted Virtualbox, and the host and no effect.
