Why did you choose a SCSI controller? That is not the default. The default is selected so that you will not need to hunt for drivers.

Because i need use a scsi controller, not a sata controller. My task to export vm in ova format to esx. This ova format must work both in virtual box and esx. As we know, esx doesn't support sata controller.
Please help me solve my proble with discovering scsi drivers. I can't find appropriate drivers in internet. Thank you.

I can't help you find Windows SCSI drivers. I can only tell you that no hdd drivers are bundled with VirtualBox.

Hello!
Have the same problem. How can I install MSserver2012r2 on scsi drive?
Have the latest version of VB. What kind of scsi driver must I use for it?
When I start the installation, I see no hdd at all.

Does it work with the default settings for the guest type? If yes, why do you insist on creating problems where there are none?

Do you have an answer for this question or any thoughts how to solve it?
If you don't, then why do you decide to write a post?
OK, now we see that you exist. Thank you.

People, anybody have any ideas? Please help!

I resolved my problem.
Hm, if VirtualBox supports scsi controller, it' s will be great to give user additional information how work it.
But here advice:
"Does it work with the default settings for the guest type? If yes, why do you insist on creating problems where there are none?"
Anyway, thanks for your participation.

Yes we do, and the answer was already given at least twice: use the default setting for disk controller.

If you go off piste then you're on your own.

For the sake of completeness, here's what the competition has to say (first hit using the wildly non-obvious search term "windows 2012 r2 lsi logic parallel"): http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/micros ... Id=2059549

The salient point: "To prevent this issue, configure the Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2 virtual machines to use an alternative storage adapter".
