I have a wifi adapterI have been trying to connect to a kali linux guest for the past couple of days.
The device itself works fine on my windows 7 host but virtualbox won't capture it.
The device in question is a Belkin N600 Wireless Dual-Band USB Adapter F9L1101V1.
The device show up in the usb filters in the settings menu and I have it enabled.
I have installed both the guest additions and the extensions.
I know that the extensions are properly installed and all because VB will capture a usb flash drive I have.
Any help is very appreciated.

P.S I am a novice at this so please don't be to condescending.

Assuming you created the correct USB filter for your Kali guest, I assume you know that you have to unplug the device, then start the guest, then plugin the device.

It would help if you provided a VM log file. Right click the VM in the GUI. Select "Show Log". Save "VBox.log" to a file. Compress that file and attach it to a message here. Make sure the VM is fully shut down before taking a log.

Yes I know that.
Here's the log file.

can you attach a screen shot of the USB filter settings you created for the device?

Is there a reason why you don't just leave it on the host and then bind the VM's NIC to the host's USB NIC? I do this on a couple of hosts I have, it works well. I do this to allow the host and VM to be on separate LANs.
