I have installed vbox in my windows 7 64bit os. configured cloudera 4.7 in it as Linux REdhat 64bit. Getting error while starting the vm from vbox. Error : "FATAL : No bootable medium found. Please assist.
Attached the log for your investigation. For the past two days stressing too much. would be great help

I believe here is the issue:
Storage settings:
-- Controller : IDE
--Empty (I removed E: as I don't keep any bootable iso file or disk. so changed to empty)
Controller : SATA
--test.vdi (newly created vm)

VirtualBox creates a virtual machine, capable of running the operating system you select in the VM settings.

However, you still need an install CD/DVD (or ISO image of same) for the selected OS. VirtualBox does not bundle any. In the case of Linux, you need to download an install ISO for the release of your choice, and mount that in the VM before starting it.

The log you provided shows no CD/DVD ISO currently attached to the VM.

p.s. It seems pointless to me to create a 64bit VM with only 512MB attached to it. You can afford 1GB with your host.
