What is the screen shot supposed to show?

You have too much RAM assigned to the guest.
00:01:10.535445 VM: Raising runtime error 'HostMemoryLow' (fFlags=0x2)
Reduce it to 2GB
You also have both physical cores assigned. reduce it to one.

Host memory too low error in the logs usually mean that you are assigning more memory than the host has available. Not to be confused by the amount of RAM that the OS has to start with. Also there were cases in older versions of VirtualBox with assigning more than 3GB of memory in some Windows guests. I would reduce the memory you are assigning to the guest and also upgrade to the latest release ( 4.3.26 )

It shows the point that the error message appears and screen freezes!

Thank you! You were correct! I reduced it to 2Gb and it worked!

Thank you! You were also correct about this issue!

So for installing Win 7, the memory should not be more than 2GB in version 4.3.20!

Actually the memory should not be set to more than approx. 50% of the available host memory for any guest.

I have 8GB and selected 4GB for the guest but I the above problem appeared!

8GB is your total memory. The host OS uses some, VirtualBox uses some. Any other applications you have open in your host uses some. 4GB is probably all the available memory you have left and a guest should only use half of that.

Soc,

You can see for yourself what is available to the guest at boot by reading the top of the log file and if you search for error or guru you will also see what the cause of the issue is.

00:00:01.693562 Host RAM: 8053MB total, 6243MB available
