64bits

hi,
I have a notebook Dell with intel i5-2430m 2.4 ghz / 8gb
I can't install SO 64bits VM if I boot with windows 8.1 pro 64 bits however, I can install if I boot w7 pro 64.
I dont understand.
someone can help me, please? tnks
