The reason I upgrades were seamless windows. But neither that is not working. I am thinking about the downgrade.

Anyone has similar problems with resume?

thanks

virtualbox-ose 1.6.2 (from debian sid).

After resume virtual box does not respond (actualy, virtual box menu, etc. is ok, but guest system does not respond).

1.6.0 <-> 1.6.2

I installed also 1.6.2 of course and so far I haven't seen it. Till now I tried just Pause and Resume of the host OS (several times) but nothing. But in between I upgraded kernel, so let's see

Do you have option VT-x/AMD-V enabled? It does not crash on my system with VT-x/AMD-V disabled.

I've noticed alot more BSOD with 1.6.2 myself. I dont know if doing a clean install with windows XP SP3 and enabling SATA is part if it though. I'll disable VT to see if it helps it more.

1.6.2 - Better then 1.6.0

Post by walkerd »

O.K. I observed the same problem also on 1.6.2. The difference is, that now it happen only when the host system is suspended and resumed. Before it happen very often also when I put the XP in the VBox in to Sleep mode. I mean - VBox sleep feature. Now this is working fine, but if I suspend my linux, after resume, the same problem. Or 2 very similar problems as you can see below:
