Resolution only 600x80 after installing guest-extensions

I use vb 4.3.22 in W7 64bit and a XP 32bit as guest system.

After installing the guest extensions it is not possible to adjust the graphics resolution to more than 800x600. Before installing this was possible up to much higer values.

What could be going wrong?

Provide a VM log file: right click VM in GUI, select "Show Log", save "VBox.log" (only) to a file, zip file and attach here. Make sure the VM is shut down before you collect the log of the session.

And where are you trying to set the display size?

I see you have enabled 3D acceleration. You could try turning that off unless you really need it. Did you install the GAs in safe mode? (required for 3D drivers in an XP guest).

Perhaps implying some kind of conflict with ATI graphics drivers on the host. If all all fails you might consider downgrading to VirtualBox 4.3.12, remembering to downgrade the GAs too.

Only 2D-Acceleration was activated. Because I don´t need it I disabled it, but the problem persists
