I've been asking some questions on the forum before, but I have not find the correct answers yet. I brought down my issue to a generic question: what are the requirements for a USB device to get recognized and connected to any VM (regardless of guest OS)?
Background: I try to connect WLAN USB devices, but also USB Sticks, to different VMs (Windows XP/7/8, Linux Debian/RH based), but only 1 of them seems to work. In all other cases the 'VirtualBox USB' driver does not get installed and the device does not show up in the Guest OS. The status of the device in the 'USB devices' menu does change to captured.
Anyone else ran into equivalent issues? Any idea on what's wrong here?
