Hi

I am running VBox 4.3.22 on a Windows 7 64-bit host, with a Centos 6.5 guest.

The network connection was working but is now broken. The network icon in the top right of the VBox window shows 'No Network Connection'. At the command line I have:

Code: Select all

[adminuser@localhost ~]$ ifconfig -a
eth1      Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 08:00:27:7D:32:8C
          UP BROADCAST MULTICAST  MTU:1500  Metric:1
          RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
          RX bytes:0 (0.0 b)  TX bytes:0 (0.0 b)

lo        Link encap:Local Loopback
          inet addr:127.0.0.1  Mask:255.0.0.0
          inet6 addr: ::1/128 Scope:Host
          UP LOOPBACK RUNNING  MTU:16436  Metric:1
          RX packets:184 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:184 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:0
          RX bytes:15712 (15.3 KiB)  TX bytes:15712 (15.3 KiB)
and:

Code: Select all

$ ping 8.8.8.8
connect: Network is unreachable
In VBox device settings, the network device is shown as:

"Adapter 1: Intel PRO/1000MT Desktop (Host-only Adaptor, 'VirtualBox Host-only Ethernet Adapter')."

How can I fix the network connection please?
