Network cutting in and out after update
Posted: 23. Feb 2015, 22:40
Host: Windows 7
Guest: Ubuntu 14.04 LTS 32 bit
After updating Vbox to 4.3.22.98236 and re-installing the guest additions I started to see intermittent network problems - the network will cut out for 1 second, then come back on. I'm on a wired network and the host OS seems not to lose connection at all. The guest is set as NAT.
If I run ping on both the guest and host machines, the guest will occasionally miss 3 packets (sendmsg: Network is unreachable), while the host will not miss any.
The problem is that when I ssh from the guest, this momentary network interruption will cause the ssh connection to time out.
Any ideas how to fix this?
