Hello everyone.
I know that there are similar discussions in this forum and also on Internet, but I've tried every proposed solution and I'm still dealing with this problem. Long story short, I can't ping my VM from host system.
My VM's NIC is in Bridged Adapter mode and receives correctly in DHCP a IPv4 address when is powered on (let's say 192.168.0.3). From VM I can ping a WAN destination and also hosts on my LAN. From the host system I can't ping 192.168.0.3, but I can ping other devices in my LAN. I've read some solutions around the Internet: "try to disable antivirus", "try to stop firewall", "try to not use DHCP" and obviously none of these worked for me.
I've analyzed network traffic with Wireshark. When I launch ping, an ARP Reply is given (with the VM Network Card MAC) after the ARP Request but no response is given after each ping.
Any suggestion?
Thanks in advance.
